GENERAL FEATURES
- Steam, hot water, superheated water, hot air can be produced free of charge by taking advantage of heat of the hot smoke gases thrown in funnel in industrial facilities and cogeneration facilities.
- For example, at the cogeneration facilities, the flue gas temperature to be thrown to the funnel in diesel and gas engines is 400 … 500° C;
- In cement factories at 400….600°C, steam boilers and superheated oil boilers at 250….350°C and so on in facilities, flue gas temperatures can be reduced by 120….180°C according to the fuel type.
- Every 20°C reduction in flue gas temperatures provides approximately 1% fuel saving. Waste heat boilers are manufactured in smoke tube or water tube types to save energy (therefore money).
